Recently, the Firm has started providing consultancy services and handling different issues related to the stock market, mainly in the primary and secondary markets. Worth highlighting among them are the primary public offerings of securities or financial instruments as legal financing mechanism, and the public offering for the purchase of shares (OPA) as legal means to take the control of companies listed in the Stock Exchange, as well as advisorships on disputes that may arise among stock market participants (issuers, investors and intermediaries), in addition to handling and obtaining authorizations to operate legally in the stock market as regards Mutual Funds, Investment Funds, stock brokers companies, securitization companies, risk-rating companies, etc.

The professional in charge of this area, Julio Vargas Piña, is an attorney specialized in the stock market. Formerly, as stock market manager of CONASEV he acquired ample knowledge of the legislation on the stock market and administrative aspects thereon. Afterwards, he furthered his stock market capacities by taking specialized courses in the United States and Brazil. His experience extends to the private sector, in which he has applied his knowledge on these matters to several stock market projects.

Dr. Vargas Piña has participated as an international consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in the regional justice program (Commission on Juridical Security of Investments) since 1998, and in 2003 was appointed Chair of the Commission on the Study of Stock Market Legislation of the Lima Bar Association.
